Run, Run, Run Around

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

Smooth mover, a ladies man in black and red
A sly wink, and few drinks, and you've got them in bed
But suddenly, you're in over your head
And starting to regret, where your life has led
Finding yourself drunk on love's heavenly mead

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

Yellow lion, the strong man
Sweet mechanic doing all he can
Strong support to any plan
A gentle giant, a kitten is safe in your hand
With a heart wider than a planet's span

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

Red lion, of fierce fire
Daring to dream, higher and higher
Never caught in darkness's mire
No lady will pin you, the flaming flier
Your life will be the fullest before you expire

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

The youngest, spunky, sweet, and mild
Part man, part child
Runs around in clothes hippie styled
Science and electronics, facts neatly filed
In a few years he'll drive the women wild

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

Blue Lion's a princess
With quiet grace and thoughtfulness
A core of steel wrapped in gentleness
Capturing men with her sweetness
A fierce survivor of Zarcon's cruelness

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

A blue-skinned prince born from sin
Fierce pride with warm heart within
Bound and captured by his father's whim
And now in love, by fate's cruel spin
Almost lost in war's din

Run, run, run around
When you're lost you will be found
Run, run, run around
In your dreams you're homeward bound

Can I Break My Chains?

her beauty haunts me
golden as the sun of her world
As innocent and ancient
as the first petal unfurled
to bask in the warmth of the sun
her open heart, her gentleness
yet with hidden steel within
all are parts of her kindness
a child-woman who is also a goddess
. . . I was born of a harsh land
one dying even as it flourished
kept and raised in betrayal's hand
taught in blood and violence
I have know little trust
and much deceit
of treason, and power-lust
how cruel, how crude, how vicious,
I must seem in her eyes
and yet she has completely
to my surprise
captivated me, entrapped me
not with bars, locks, or pain
but her honesty, love, care,
her tears for her world falling like rain
can I resist her call?
. . . do I even want to?
the silent, painful lessons she teaches
of to my people, my world, I must be true
no longer bound by my father's greed
I finally see with eyes clear
and nearly weep with every evil deed
I am still bound to do
I want to bring alive her friends that I have slain
to wipe away her tears, hold her . . .
. . . can I break my chains?

Help Me Let Go

I can still hear them
Calling out to me
Asking for the love I could not give
My youthful self too young to see
How both of you laid claim to my heart
Saying we are together, never apart
I was far away when they perished
Trying to save the other from the flame
The traitor had betrayed them both
And left them in shame
Bowed to a dark emperor's will
Who wished to see you cold and still

The ship had exploded
Of them leaving no trace
Sabotage caused
By the last of a dying race
Who in your deaths, his freedom won
Only to find all his kin gone

My two loves, I hear your voices still
Lotor, my strong, stern, honorable prince
Keith, my determined, honest, dauntless pilot
Although your names make Nanny wince
To hear them spoken from my tongue
With equal joy and sorrow, my grief just begun.

The pain you must have felt
The pain I feel now
My heart lays heavy, silent, unbeating
Needing your love to show me how
But this grief will drag me down, this I know
Oh Alfor, father . . . help me let go . . .

What Does the Rain Say? (song)

~I know I'm lost without you
~I know I can only hang my head and pray
~But let me tell you baby
~What does the rain say?

~I saw you walking yesterday
~You had that umbrella you bought at the zoo
~all those cheerfull little pandas
~But I couldn't feel anything but blue
~Feeling blue without you

~I know I'm lost without you
~I know I can only hang my head and pray
~But let me tell you baby
~What does the rain say?

~I remember the way you laughed
~I remember the smell of your hair
~At night I turn to reach for you
~Even though I know you're not there
~Though I know it's my fault you're not there

~I know I'm lost without you
~I know I can only hang my head and pray
~But let me tell you baby
~What does the rain say?

~I've felt this pain a long time
~I guess it ends today
~I've left the world my postcard
~There's no reason for me to stay
~Soon . . I'll . . be . . on . . my . . . way

~I know I'm lost without you
~I know I can only hang my head and pray
~But let me tell you baby
~What does the rain say?

~What does the rain . . . say?
