"Please Lance, pick up the phone." Pidge's voice pleaded into the machine. "We really need your help."

"Pidge?" Lance gasped into the phone. "I'm here. Don't hang up."

"Lance? I was afraid you weren't there."

"Where are you?" Pidge gave Lance an address and he wrote it down. He didn't know that part of town very well but he was sure he could find the place. "I should be there in thirty minutes."

"Okay. I'll wait outside for you." Pidge hung up the phone. Lance picked up his car keys and ran out the door. Maybe I do have a death wish, he thought.

*******

Lance pulled up across the street from the trashiest looking hotel he'd ever seen in his life. Half the windows were boarded up and it looked like the lock on the front door had been shot off. "I definitely would have never thought to look here. Now where's Pidge at?"

He spotted him a few feet away talking to a couple of hookers. At least Lance thought they were hookers. It was hard to tell. It looked like they were trying to pick up Pidge. And it looked like one of them was a man in drag.

Pidge spotted Lance and waved his direction. Lance waved back and got out of his car. He walked over to Pidge, ignoring the looks he was getting. Oh great, why am I getting the feeling this was not a good idea. That's not a man in drag and she looks bad.

"I told you guys, I'm taken for the night. Here's my date." Pidge darted out and grabbed onto Lance's arm. "Just let me get changed and I'll be ready." He lead Lance into the hotel.

"You want to explain that?"

Pidge looked at Lance. "Boy you are naive. This is the kind of place you come to if you don't want to answer any questions. Drugs, women, you can have or do anything you want no questions, just pay for your room."

"So they thought you were a hooker."

"Basically." Pidge lead Lance upstairs. The inside didn't look much better than the outside. Trash lined the hallway. He stopped in front of a door and looked down. "Shit, the door's open. What's he done now?" He pushed the door open.

Lance followed Pidge through the door. " What do you mean, what's he done now? You still haven't explain why you called me."

"Kay told me to during one of his saner moments." Pidge looked around the room. There was no sign of him. He was about to check the bathroom when he heard the giggling. "Oh Kay what have you done now? Can't I leave you alone for ten minutes?"

Kay was lying on his back on the floor, giggling his head off. A couple of pills were on the floor next to him. He finally looked up at Lance and Pidge standing over him. "Hi Lance you're a lot taller than I thought. Have you seen Pidge? I can't find him anywhere."

Pidge sighed, covering his face with one hand. "I'm right here Kay. How many did you buy and how many have you took?"

"I don't know." Kay waved one arm in the air. "I gave him $100 and half of it's gone. I don't hurt anymore." He started giggling again. "Ooh look at the pretty ceiling." Then his eyes rolled up in his head and he passed out.

Lance shook his head. "Damn."

"This is nothing. I remember once when he was in so much pain he couldn't stop screaming. I hate what Sven's done to him.

Lance looked around the room. He couldn't let them stay here. The place was a mess. "Let's get you guys out of here."

Between the two of them, Lance and Pidge managed to carry Kay to Lance's car. Pidge sat in the back with Kay while Lance went to the driver's seat.

"Hey honey! When you come back I'll take you and your friend! I always wanted to do a threesome!" Someone yelled out.

Pidge leaned out of the car and yelled back, "Okay but we don't come cheap!"

*******

In the time it took for them to get back to Lance's place, Kay didn't regained consciousness. Which from what Pidge had been telling Lance, was a good thing. If he had been awake he might have tried to jump out of the car while it was still moving.

Between the two of them, they managed to get Kay into the house. Lance lead the way to his bedroom. Kay was laid out on the bed. Lance looked over at Pidge. "How long has he been like this?"

Pidge shrugged. "A few days. I've had to keep my eye on him."

"And how long has it been since you've slept?"

"I can't remember."

That decided it for Lance. "You need some sleep. Use the spare bedroom."

"I'm fine. Anyway, where would you sleep?"

"That's what couches are for. Go to bed Pidge."

"But.."

"Go." Lance watched as Pidge walked out of the room. He shook his head. "Unbelievable." He turned back to Kay.

Kay's eyes fluttered open. "Where?"

"Shh, it's okay. You're at my place. Just go to sleep." He started to leave the room.

"Please stay."

Lance looked back at Kay. He was kneeling on the bed. "You should go to sleep."

"Just stay for a little while. I just want to talk to you."

Lance walked back to the bed and sat down on the edge. "Just for a minute."

Kay closed his eyes briefly. "Thank you. Do you find me attractive?"

"What?" Lance hadn't been expecting this question.

Kay cat-walked over to Lance. He tilted his head to the side. "I find you very attractive. In fact, " he leaned in close, running his tongue over his lips, "I can't get my mind off of you. Your hair, your eyes, the way you smell. Everything about you fascinates me. I know I sound like a bad romance novel but I mean it."

This whole situation was making Lance nervous. He leaned back from Kay. "You're not yourself right now. Maybe I should go." Lance started to get off the bed.

"Don't leave!" Kay grabbed his arms and pulled him down to the bed. Lance stared into Kay's yellow eyes. There was madness in their depths. "I'm telling you the truth. I want you." He closed the distance between them.

The kiss was more than Lance had expected. Kay's tongue teased Lance's bottom lip. Lance slowly opened his mouth. Kay assaulted Lance's mouth and drew away slowly. Kay smiled seductively and continued to kiss him.

Lance began to whimper. Then Kay went completely slack against him. Light snoring drifted up to his ears. "This isn't happening. Kay did not just fall asleep on me." More snores answered Lance. "Yes, he did. Oh damn, he's heavy."

Lance pushed Kay's limp body off of him. He stood up and walked out of the room. Why did things like this happen to me? He sighed. Okay, shower first then I find a blanket for the couch. A really cold shower.

*******

Morning found Lance with a stiff neck and a gun in his face. Not a good thing. He looked over the barrel of the gun and saw Sven's face. Sven did not look happy. He slowly cocked the gun. "You lied to me and now you pay."

"Now how do you figure that?" Lance glanced around the room. This definitely wasn't his place. Where the hell was he?

"Don't play games with me." Sven shoved the gun against Lance's nose. "I had you watched."

Shit. Bring them to his place had been a mistake. He should have thought about Sven having him watched. "I told you the truth. I didn't know where they were until they called."

A smile slowly broke out on Sven's face. "I'm going to enjoy killing you."

"Wait." A hand pulled down Sven's gun. It belonged to Lotor. "Let's not be too hasty. A lesson needs to be learned here."

Sven backed away from Lance. He lowered his gun. "You're right. Bring him out here." Lance sat up and watched as Hunk and another man brought in Kay. They held both arms behind his back. Sven walked over to him and ran one hand over Kay's cheek. "You've been a very bad boy Kay, running away like that. Now I just have to punish you. But with what?" Sven looked around the room. "I know, maybe this." He shot both of Lance's legs.

He looked at Kay's face. "What, no reaction? I'll have to do better." Sven shot Lance in the shoulder. "Now what do you have to say?"

"I hate you."

"Wrong answer.

Lotor sighed and walked up to Sven. "Just get rid of him. He's too disobedient. The other one, Pidge isn't it? He might be better."

Sven considered the idea for a second. "Good idea." He looked at Kay again and sneered, "Kay was getting too boring in bed anyway."

That got a reaction out of Kay. He struggled to get out of the grip of the men holding him. "Stay away from him! I'll kill you!"

Sven's smile got wider and he began laughing. "You don't order me around. I own both of you. I do what I want with you. And I've decided to trade you in for a newer model." He began to walk out of the room. At the door he stopped. "Kill them both."

Lotor raised his gun to Lance's head. "Nothing personal. If it makes you feel better, we were going to kill you anyway if Arus didn't go under."

Lance rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I feel a whole lot better."

"Funny." Lotor sighed. "Well, here's good-bye." He fired.

Kay's scream was cut short a moment later.

*******

Allura stood next to Lance's grave. The funeral had been several days ago. His body had been found in an alley downtown. There was no clue to the identity of his killer. Lance what happened to you? Someone nudged her side. She looked over to see at the young boy next to her. "I'm sorry?"

He wore a dark suit and had dark sunglasses covering his eye. He slid an envelope into her hands. "The final design specs to the Voltron system. The prototype should be arriving at your place later today."

Her grip on the envelope tightened. Plans to the Voltron system. The company's secret project. How had he gotten his hands on it? "Who are you?"

"Me? I'm not important. I just knew Lance. This was one of the last things I could do for him." He looked at something behind him. "I just have one more thing to do. One last thing for both of them."

"What are you talking about?"

"Vengeance." He sighed and walked away. He paused at another grave a distance away. He ran one hand over the grave marker and continued to walk on.

Allura followed him as he walked out of the cemetery and over to a limo parked nearby. The men standing by the limo looked vaguely familiar to her. "Where have I seen him before?" She made the connection as they climbed into the limo. "That's Sven Van deRyst and Luc Torrain! How does he know them?" She watched as the limo began to drive off. She also saw the fireball as the limo exploded.
